All of these images are from my second year studying photography at college. The photos are from my coursework throughout the year and some final pieces. I have only selected some of the best images from every set I produced as I took hundreds of photos during this year.. They are not in any particular order.
For my A2 exam the theme was 'Exploration and Discovery', which mean't that I had a lot of freedom when deciding what to represent with photos. This also meant that it was a little difficult as there was so many options could choose from. I didn't want to go for the obvious and "explore" a journey so I thought deeper and chose to explore and discover, Crime and Deviance. I didn't just look at the crime itself I looked at the other side of crime, the victims, as the first few images display.
These are victim photos of a young girl that has been abused.
These photos are of a girl that has resulted to crime due to relative, material and emotional deprivation.
These set of photos are some that simply resemble crime and deviance and a murder scene.
These photos clear display drugs and paraphernalia which show another area of crime and deviance.
These images are of a victim that has suffered domestic abuse.
The moments of an arresting being captured.
These photos are not form the exam topic, they are from the coursework section in which the theme was surrealism.
Another area of my coursework was black and white portraiture where I encorporated elements of distortion.
